Cozy games for winding down at night
Not every game needs to test your reflexes. Some nights I just want something quiet to hold while my mind slows down, and there's a whole category of games built exactly for that.
Pocket Diner Days is my current favorite for this. It's busy enough to keep me engaged but never stressful, and the little cooking rhythms are weirdly soothing. Hollow Tides works too, if you're in the mood for something moody and slow.
The key is low stakes. No timers screaming at you, no punishing failure. Just gentle progress and something pleasant to look at.
I keep at least one of these installed at all times. On a rough day, twenty minutes of tidy little tasks does more for me than any epic adventure.
