How we actually review a game at Dune Kit

People sometimes ask how we decide our scores, so here's the honest version. It starts with installing the game and playing it like a normal person, not a critic taking notes every five seconds.

We give every game at least a few days. First impressions lie — some games are magic for an hour and hollow by day three, and others take a while to reveal why they're good. Coin Strike, for instance, only clicked for me after I stopped rushing.

When it's time to write, we focus on how the game feels: the controls, the pacing, whether it respects your time. The number at the top comes last, and it always matches what we actually felt while playing.

No one pays us for a score, and we don't publish reviews of games we couldn't stand to finish. It's a small site, but the honesty is the whole point.
